Multi-Port Valve Functions
A manual multi-port valve is a crucial component for filter media tanks, as it enables the necessary cycles to maintain the filter media's effectiveness. The main positions include:

Filter/Service: The normal operating position where raw water flows down through the filter media, is purified, and then exits for use.

Backwash: The maintenance position where water flow is reversed (upwards) to lift the media bed, flush out trapped contaminants (dirt, sediment, etc.), and send the wastewater to a drain. This cleans the filter media.

Fast Rinse: A cycle performed after the backwash. Water flows back in the normal filtration direction (downwards) to settle the media bed, remove any residual impurities dislodged during backwash, and ensure the initial filtered water is clear before switching back to Filter/Service mode.
