Questions people ask before they start

Do my staff need to install an app?

No app store needed. Hotmark is a web app: staff open it in their phone browser and can add it to the home screen so it feels like an app. It works on iPhone and Android.

Does it really calculate PCB, EPF, SOCSO and EIS?

Yes. PCB uses LHDN’s computerised (MTD) calculation method; EPF, SOCSO and EIS use your company’s rates and ceilings, with SOCSO from the official contribution table and LINDUNG 24 Jam included. You can still override PCB on any payslip. Statutory rules change, so please confirm figures for your own situation.

Can it handle shifts, branches and field staff?

Yes. Fixed office hours and rotating roster shifts can run side by side, each branch can have its own geofence, and field teams can clock in from anywhere with GPS recorded.

How do you stop staff clocking in for each other?

Each clock-in is checked by GPS location and device identity. One phone per staff is enforced with an approve-once device lock, optional Face ID, and managers are alerted when something looks off.

Can I move my data to another payroll or accounting system?

Yes. Attendance, leave, OT and payroll can be exported to Excel, so you are never locked in.

How does the free trial work, and what happens after?

Start with a free company setup — no credit card. When you are ready, subscribe inside the system on a 6 or 12-month plan (minimum 5 pax).

Is the RM1 offer real? How long does it last?

Yes. The SME Support Program is a limited-time offer for businesses with 5 users or below on a 12-month plan (RM60 in total). It runs while slots last, and Hotmark may end or extend it at any time.
