The HITTO Thread Repair Kit (HTRK-Series) is an essential solution for mechanics, engineers, and DIY users to repair damaged, stripped, or worn-out screw threads in metal components. By installing a new thread insert (recoil coil), the original thread size and integrity are restored, often resulting in a stronger thread than the original.

This series includes various kits tailored for different metric thread sizes, such as M5x0.8mm, M6x1.0mm, M8x1.25mm, M10x1.25mm, M10x1.50mm, and M12x1.25mm.

Key Features and Components

Each comprehensive kit is designed to provide all the specialized tools required for a professional thread repair and includes the following:

• Drill Bit: A correctly sized high-speed steel (HSS) drill bit to drill out the damaged thread.

• Recoil Hand Tap: A specialized tap (often a combined intermediate and bottoming tap) to re-tap the drilled hole, creating the new oversized thread required for the insert.
