The SAMLEE M2222 No. 3 Spring Eye Hoe is one of the most recognized heavy-duty agricultural tools in Malaysia. Samlee (based in Rawang, Selangor) is famous for using high-grade Japan Spring Steel, which allows the blade to be thinner and sharper while remaining incredibly tough.

1. Samlee No. 3 Spring Eye Hoe (Cangkul)

The "No. 3" indicates the Large (Besar) size in their standard lineup.

Material: Forged Japan Spring Steel. This material is flexible enough to absorb impact without snapping but hard enough to hold a sharp edge.
Design: "Spring Eye" (Lubang-O) refers to the round reinforced eyelet where the handle is inserted.
Dimensions (Approx): * Blade Width: ~175mm ( $17.5cm$ )

- Weight: Approximately 1.1kg to 1.2kg (head only).
Best Used For: Heavy soil turning, breaking hard clay, and large-scale farming/gardening. It is significantly more durable than generic "black iron" hoes.

2. Wedges (Baji Cangkul / Axe Wedge)

To secure a Samlee hoe or axe head to a wooden handle, a wedge is essential.

Samlee Metal Wedge: Usually a small, jagged steel or zinc-alloy plate.
Function: You drive the wedge into the top of the wooden handle after the head is fitted. This expands the wood, "locking" the head in place so it doesn't fly off during a swing.
Pro-Tip: If the head becomes loose over time due to the wood drying out, tap the wedge deeper or soak the head in water overnight to swell the wood.

3. Samlee Axes (Kapak)

Samlee axes are built with the same spring steel philosophy as their hoes.

Model A0801 (14-inch): A popular general-purpose axe with a metal handle welded directly to the head for "unbreakable" durability.
Harvesting Axe: Used extensively in the palm oil industry for clearing fronds and woody stems.
