UMS (a popular brand, particularly in Malaysia) manufactures two common but distinct types of 3-pin plug tops: the 13A and the 15A. They are not interchangeable and are designed for different purposes.
UMS 13A 3-Pin Plug Top
This is the standard, everyday plug used for most household appliances in countries following the UK standard (like the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, and Ireland).
Appearance: Features three rectangular (square) pins.
Standard: BS 1363.
Key Feature: Fused. The plug top itself contains a fuse (most commonly a 13A fuse, but it can be swapped for 3A or 5A depending on the appliance). This fuse protects the appliance's flexible cord from overheating.
Common Use: General-purpose appliances like computers, televisions, fans, kettles, phone chargers, and vacuum cleaners.
Approval: Typically SIRIM-approved in Malaysia.
UMS 15A 3-Pin Plug Top
This is a larger, "heavy-duty" plug designed specifically for high-power appliances.
Appearance: Features three large, round pins.
Standard: BS 546.
Key Feature: Unfused. This plug does not typically contain its own fuse. It relies on the dedicated circuit breaker (rated for 15A) at the main distribution board for protection.
Common Use: High-draw appliances that require a dedicated circuit, such as:
Air conditioners
Storage water heaters
Large ovens
Approval: Also typically SIRIM-approved.
Summary: 13A vs. 15A

Important Safety Note: You cannot and should not plug a 15A appliance (like an air conditioner) into a 13A socket, even with an adapter. Doing so can constantly blow the 13A fuse or, worse, create a fire hazard by overloading the socket or wiring. 15A appliances must be plugged into a dedicated 15A wall socket.
