This type of fitting is designed for use in compressed air systems to connect flexible pneumatic tubing to a device, valve, or fixed piping system at a 90-degree angle. The "SPLF" designation often implies a Swivel Elbow with a Female thread.
Type: 90° Elbow, Push-to-Connect (or Push-In) to Female Thread.
Function: Allows quick and easy connection and disconnection of pneumatic tubing without the need for tools. The swivel feature allows the tubing port to be oriented in the desired direction after installation of the threaded end.
Connection 1 (Tubing End): Push-to-Connect mechanism (the blue ring in the first image indicates the release collar/locking mechanism). This accepts standard metric or imperial pneumatic tubing.
Connection 2 (Device End): Female Thread (visible in all images, in brass, silver-colored metal, and plain metal). This threads onto a male port on a pneumatic cylinder, valve, or manifold.
Materials: Typically constructed of Durable Engineering Plastic (black body) and Metal (brass or nickel-plated) for the threaded section, providing corrosion resistance and strength.
Applications: Widely used in automation, robotics, machinery, and general compressed air systems for efficient routing of air lines.
