The HVFF Series Pneumatic Hand Valve (also known as a shut-off valve) is a compact and essential component for manual flow control and isolation in pneumatic systems. It features a quick-connect design for fast, tool-free installation into compressed air lines.
Function: Manual Air Shut-Off (ON/OFF Control). It is primarily used to isolate a section of a pneumatic circuit for maintenance, troubleshooting, or safety purposes.
Safety Feature (3-Way Valve): Most HVFF valves function as a 3-way directional control valve. When the blue handle is turned to the "OFF" position, it not only blocks the incoming air supply but also simultaneously discharges (vents) the residual pressure from the downstream (output) side. This depressurization is crucial for safely working on connected equipment.
Connection Type: Push-to-Connect (or One-Touch) fittings on both ends, allowing for quick and secure insertion and removal of pneumatic tubing (PU/Nylon hose).
Body Material: Typically constructed from durable engineering plastic like Polyoxymethylene (POM) or PBT, with the locking claw made of stainless steel for secure tube retention.
Operation: Controlled by a simple Rotary Knob/Handle (commonly blue), offering smooth switching between ON and OFF positions.
In-Line Design: Designed to be installed directly in-line with the air tubing. It is a straight union connector.
Isolating pneumatic actuators, cylinders, or tools.
Creating a maintenance bypass point in an air circuit.
Emergency shut-off locations.
Anywhere a quick, manual ON/OFF air control with residual pressure discharge is required.
